Horse with SPAOPD

I have a 10 year old quarter horse that has begun having breathing issues. So far all of the signs point to summer pasture associated obstructed airway disease (summer heaves). The vest has checked him and says he is otherwise healthy and that is will probably improve in the winter. I have been doing research on this and would like to try a homeopathic remedy instead of a steriod.

So far I have gotten this "horses are cured of the heaves by eating the leaves of Silphium. The 2x trituration is recommended."

Can someone give me information on how to obtain this or something else that would work for this?
