Constitutional treatment
I have recently begun treatment with a classical homeopath, with much success. Unfortunately, my symptoms began to re-emerge the second week and my doctor was opposed to taking another dose until a full 2 weeks had gone by. By then I was in almost as bad a shape as I was starting out.
Now I'm curious to know if 2 weeks is the standard course of treatment with a 200C dose. I was very disappointed to see everything starting to come back and having to wait so long while it got worse again with every passing day. I got spoiled by being out of pain for the first time in years. Didn't take long to get accustomed to the good life, let me tell ya. On the second dose I got nearly immediate relief (20 minutes or so), but not quite so complete. In other words, it worked quickly to lessen the pain, but has not completely eradicated it like before. Also, I'm extremely tired and feeling like I might have a virus of some type. I can't tell if that's a result of the healing process and I just need to rest through it, or I'm actually sick. Is it common to become exhausted and achy while going through this process? The dose made me feel better than I've felt in a decade. But now, not so much. Some symptoms are much improved, but I'm a little concerned that the second dose did not produce the same results. Any thoughts? |

This sounds pretty normal in a course of treatment. After a couple weeks on a remedy, the homeopath will give another remedy for you to use. You will generally feel quite a bit better to start. The symptoms will come back. The homeopath will give another remedy so that your body can help heal itself. If you have had this condition for many years, two weeks of treatment will not cure everything all at once. It does sound like you are on the right track though. The homeopath may have you take several single remedies over the course of treatment before everything is totally cured.

Thank you! I actually feel a lot better since I typed that. I'm once again getting better with each passing day, and hopefully will continue to improve. Like you say - this has been going on for many years now so it won't heal overnight. But I do believe that she's got the right remedy and I just have to be patient. Not my best trait.
