Quit Smoking

I have bought homeopathic medicine for quitting smoking- however, these tend to make me extremely sleepy, unfocused, and groggy. I end up needing to smoke as a result. The only reason why I smoke is for the nicotine as it serves as a stronger stimulant to stay focused than caffeine. On a side note, I have hypothyroidism which works against my metabolism and energy. I have noticed, however, that whatever I take for mental alertness, mood control (as a result of quitting smoking), headaches, etc all make me sleepy.

As another example, the L-Tyrosine supplement recommended by a chiropractor for a different reason also made me sleepy all day and I had to stop taking it. He said that it can affect the dopamine/epinephrine/norepinephrine functions different in some people, i.e. have an opposite effect. So maybe the same is true even for the homeopathic medicines as well- what I think will give me the stimulus and focus I need may be having an opposite effect. Not sure.

Can you help and make recommendations accordingly? I need something that will give me the stimulant and focus needed.
