Thumbs down Breast Duct Infection (Mastitis)

Sir,
My wife aged 44 got the symptoms as follows 2 years back, probably duct infection of left breast, with no fever, redness of duct and red streaks towards chest, swelling, warm to touch, nipple slightly inverted, pain with he slightest movement, white fluid (pus like) from nipple. It automatically goes away within a period of a week or so. Again repeated after one year. Consulted the Dr. Given antibiotics, swelling is no more, but mass type feeling behind nipple & duct persists. FNAC, Mammography, Montaux, ESR and so many tests done. Utlimately, surgical removal of sinus to the left breast done. The matter worsens. Mass felt rather more, deep into nipple aerola. Biopsy report also says nothing, but fibrocystic .... giant cell..., i do not have report right now. Dr says not to worry. Now, another surgical Dr. after going through all such reports prescribes for Anti breast TB treatment, which is now continuing since one & half months. The Blood ESR still remains high at 90. Montaux test shows swelling (+). Chest Xray shows nothing. No cough, no fever nor mild fever. Should I continue anti-TB treatment or is there will be any side effects for this. Please advise what to do at this stage? What way the treatment should continue ?

Thanking you in advance,
Regards,

I would get some second medical opinions before you go any further. Continue with the medical treatment as prescribed until you get a second opinion. Sometimes a second opinion helps to find the problem.
