urine frequency

My father is 70 year old and he is very fit and healthy by the grace of god, for his age. He doesn't take any medication for anything. Walks around 5-8 miles a day, stays very active. For the past three months he has been complaining of his over active bladder. he said he didn't really care much as he was able to control it, but now for past couple of weeks , he has to go right away. The moment he feels like using the restroom to urinate he has to go immediately as he finds hard to control his bladder. Please advise.

Is there any blood in the urine? Is it a little bit of urine coming out? Is their any strain to pass urine? How much water does he drink per day?

No blood in Urine, yes there is a little bit of urine every time, No strain passing urine and he drinks 3 or four glasses of water.
his ultimate problem is is inability to control the urine. He has to go the moment he feels the urge.

Use Nux Vomica 6C to help with this condition. You may also have your father see a doctor just to make sure there is no urinary tract infection.

Truly homeopathic approach

Tehsin,
although your father is very fit and healthy, a bladder control issue at age 70 is not such a striking symptom, meaning it is not strange enough to be individualizing, and therefore does not indicate any one remedy in particuar. Actually, what is needed to treat this is the totality of his symptoms. No single symptom, but especially not one so typical, is enough to prescribe on. However, with constitutional, i.e. truly homeopathic, care, this would come under control. Because successful treatment depends upon the degree to which the single remedy matches the characteristic symptom picture in its entirety, a consult with a truly classical homeopath is by far your best bet for getting the bladder under control (and as a huge bonus, you will see improvements on every level -- this is what real homeopathy does).
Furthermore, there are real dangers to taking the wrong remedy. If you are not able or willing to find a classical homeopath, I would strongly advise against using any remedies -- you risk not only aggravating the existing condition, but actually engrafting new symptoms of the (wrong) remedy onto the person's constitution -- this is the risk with homeopathy when used incorrectly.
