arthritis

my mother who is almost 50 years of age has arthritis. she has to only climb up the stairs or go for a walk and her legs below her knee become swollen (almost 3 times the normal size). she finds it very painful and very hard to be mobile. her gp tells her to keep on walking but what i dont understand is that this makes it so hard for her. she has tried glucosamine tablets etc, ointments from dr herb etc. she also has an underactive thyroid gland for which she takes thyroxine. is there any homeopathic medecine she can try. she also suffers from swollen wrists and painful kneck and problems with headaces at night and unable to sleep with all the pain.

I am the same age and just started in the last 5 months having lots of joint pain and leg/neck/arm pain. My doctor says it has to do with perimenopause and the hormones being out of balance. She prescribed naturally compounded progesterone cream for me that seems to help quite a bit off and on. Also, flaxseed oil supplements seems to help as well or any omega 3 oil supplements with all 3 oils in them will help joint and muscle pain. I also take Sepia and Nat Mur. I still get some pain but nothing like it used to be. You might want to have her check in to this. I see a Chiropractor as well about every 3-4 weeks.

hi Tazmeen, your mom is my age, I too have arthritis. One thing that I KNOW will help your mom is to bath daily in a HOT tub for at least 20 min with epsom salts. NO SOAP. The epsom salts draw out the toxins in the skin that have been placed there by your blood. The first 10 min of the tub the salts draw out the toxins and then the next 10 min the epsom salts that are magnesium are drawn into the pores to give the body an extra help for a buffer for the acid in your mom's body. This is so very important. When I have a bad day I am in the tub & I feel so much better when I get out. Also your mom needs to give your body more O2 and proper minerals to help the body fight the arthritis. Her circulation must be impeded somewhat with her swelling. Give the body added O2 and the circulation will improve. Also as I told another gentleman on this site, bio king has a new product which a an anti inflammatory. It is highly effective and affordable, NO side effects and is a must for someone with muscle, tendon, arthritic pain. My pain is mostly under control at present and my arthritis is under control and my body is healing. This is NOT a fast process but one which is wonderful. Instead of looking at a chair in a yr or 2, I am doing what I want to and having more energy and stamina. I have compiled a web site if you care to find the information I have researched. My page for the anti inflammatory is not up yet as I have to finish it. yahoo - www.naturalguidetohealth.com if you wish to see it. In the meantime do hope your read this and do take care. I love to talk if you wish. Happy

rhus Tox helps me. It's for pain that is better with motion. I get stiff when I sit in one place for any time at all. My muscles are hard as rock when I don't take it. When I first took it, it was because I couldn't stand the pain of massage but knew the massage helped. I have fibromyalgia symptoms, too, and deep tissue massage helps me when I can afford it.

The hard part is knowing how much Rhus Tox to take. I took the strongest they made and a very high dose then because it was prescribed. I don't know if it would have helped if I took a lower dose, which you generally find on the shelves..
