Arnica for Liposuction - Bruising

Recently one of my friends mentioned that her doctor recommended Arnica for bruising after her liposuction. She said that because she was skeptical, she only applied the Arnica cream to about half the bruising.

Within 2 days, the half that had the Arnica cream had almost ceased to be black and blue, while the other half was still deep purple. Does anyone else have any experience with using Arnica for bruising (liposuction or otherwise)?

I have had similar success in clearing bruises with a 30% -i believe- concentrated Arnica salve I got over in Europe. I have been unable to locate it here in the states, and was wondering which cream and what % arnica to use?

I checked with a manufacturer (WHP), and their ointment base can be of a maximum 13% Arnica. The 30% sounds a little high. Do you recall the manufacturer of it?

I do not post much in the forum lipo, but I wanted to share my experience with arnica pills. I was told to buy Arnica pills after surgery. I almost told my husband not to buy, because I was a little skeptical. I also bought the lotion, but have not used.

In liposuction surgery, a small incision and insert a metal tube called catheter. This tube is passed back and forth to break up fat deposits, and then pumped through the casing.

I never heard about that cream before. Some people were applying other creams to minimize the bruises.
